EUSD Farm Lab & DREAMS Campus is an innovative indoor and outdoor educational campus for all students in the Encinitas Union School District. Students learn Next Generation Science using the DREAMS approach to education and engaging in experiential science lessons that are centered around nutrition and the environment.
The EUSD Farm Lab site includes:
• An educational campus
• A one-acre hands on educational garden
• Four acres of dedicated fields for growing crops for EUSD school lunches

Julie Burton, COORDINATOR
Julie Burton is the Coordinator of Innovation and Farm Lab Development for Encinitas Union School District. She oversees development of the on-site facilities, district farm-to-school efforts, community partnerships, and the DREAMS Campus educational programming. She is inspired and driven by the district vision to provide real-world, project-based learning opportunities at Farm Lab that deepen student understanding of health and wellness, sustainability, and environmental stewardship.
Julie was previously the International Baccalaureate Coordinator at Ocean Knoll Elementary School, as well as the Summer Academy Principal for the district. She holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership.
